Gallery 33 is delighted to present the exhibition "Resonances" - the third travelling exhibition by the Arena ART Wood creative group, curated by Dr. Anton Georgiev.
The opening reception will take place on July 17, 2026, at 6:00 PM, and the exhibition will be open to the public from July 17 to August 10, 2026.
For the third consecutive year, the Arena ART Wood creative group is organizing a travelling exhibition curated by Dr. Anton Georgiev, hosted by Gallery 33 in the city of Varna. This themed exhibition, titled "Resonances," guides the participating artists toward their deep inner connection with the art of music. The focus is placed on the core principles that dominate both art forms. Resonance, vibrations, and rhythmics are just a few of the numerous shared concepts that bridge the musical and visual arts.
Each artist offers their own interpretation of the artistic image of music. In some cases, the impact on the viewer is immediate and direct, while in others, music serves as a foundational element, shaping the rich artistic spectrum of the artwork. The exhibition reveals a multi-layered reading of the shared theme, leaving room for personal interpretation and emotional engagement.
For the second year in a row, the collective of woodcarvers has invited artists working in the field of metal sculpture - colleagues and faculty members from the Metal Department at the National Academy of Arts.
The blending and combining of different materials, such as metal, wood, and stone, is increasingly observed as a creative choice, which naturally leads to joint art exhibitions. The participating artists in this exhibition are: Assoc. Prof. Robert Tsanev, Assoc. Prof. Emil Bachijski, Prof. Kiril Meskin, Radislav Todorov, Dr. Anton Georgiev, Dr. Nikolay Zlatanov, Yordan Yordanov, Georgi Velikov, Nikolay Martinov, Valentin Mitev, Tsvetina Geneva, Aleksandar Vasilev, Petya Popova, Petar Mihaylov, Iliya Vladimirov, Viktoriya Deneva, Roman Sinapov, Velislav Georgiev, Atanas Danailov, and Aleksandrina Ivanova.
